Sailing Membership

Entitles the holder to sail in ALL Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron on-water events. The club offers an exciting calendar of regularly hosted sailing events – many held in conjunction with other clubs around the bay. Click here to see upcoming events.

As well as the all the benefits of the lower membership categories, Sailing Membership also comes with an internationally recognised affiliation to Australian Sailing (AS). Sailing Members receive special Member pricing, discounts and Australian Sailing member rates with AVIS, Australian Sailing + Yachting/Cruising Helmsman magazines.

Another important benefit granted to holders of Sailing Membership is the right to vote in all RMYS elections and Extraordinary General Meetings, as well as use of the RMYS yard and our wheelbarrows. For more information on the benefits of Sailing Membership, contact the office on (03) 9534 0227.

If you do not know current Senior or Sailing Members you will be invited as part of the membership application process to meet with a member of the General Committee on a Saturday between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:00 noon.

Please note: On your first statement only, there will also be a one-off charge of $55.00 for activation of your Member Fob Key.

Membership FOBs are non-transferable. FOBs issued to individual members are for the member’s use only and must not be transferred or given to any other persons.
