
Powerboat Handling
This two day course run on Friday (6pm – 9pm) & Saturday (9am – 5pm) is designed to improve your boat handling skills, especially in confined areas such as marinas and in swell and waves. You will learn more about engines and types of crafts and practice navigation techniques on a passage.
This course is for anybody from beginners to advanced sailors that would like to perform better manoeuvres with their yacht. You can access the course as a preparation of a marine licence or after you had obtained your licence.
Course fee: $350
Safety Boat Operator
This course provides the skills needed to support water-based activities at clubs, schools and outdoor recreation centres. You’ll learn about race course design, practise on-water rescue of dinghies and gain an awareness of techniques to support off the beach events.
Prerequisite experience: Powerboating Handling course or equivalent experience
Course fee: $290 (free for volunteers)

Cancellations: Please note that courses cancelled up to 72 hours in advance will not incur a fee. However, cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice will be subject to a $75 charge.
Important Information: Our sailing academy does not offer refunds. However, we will be more than happy to be flexible with any cancellations from our end and find the best solution to reschedule your sailing session.

Private training
Personalised training for groups or individuals that covers the Australian Sailing syllabus for powerboat training on our training boat. Sessions are a minimum of 4 hours and can run with anytime from 1-4 participants. There is limited weekend availability.
